Roles and Responsibilities of the Township Assessor: The Township Assessor is responsible for discovering, listing, and valuing all property in the township. This includes tracking building permits for new construction, demolitions, and property inspections, maintaining property ownership, tax exemptions, and tax maps, reviewing sales, updating property characteristics in an accurate database, and preparing appraisal evidence for the Board of Review and Stat Appeal Board. By state law, all properties must be revalued every 4 years.

What are your top priorities, if elected? Since I have been the Assessor my priorities have been to uniformly and fairly assess properties according to professional appraisal standards while providing superior customer service to Peoria property owners.
How will you use your power as City / Township Assessor to advance these priorities? I expect myself and my trained staff to use our education and experience to do the duties of Assessor and better serve the taxpayers in Peoria Township.
